Summary
The 2025 GCD Up event, held at Nanjing International School in China, was an incredible experience for our Secondary School students (Y10-13). They embraced their roles as global citizens by connecting and collaborating with peers from other GCD schools around the world. This experience deepened their understanding of global contexts and allowed them to forge friendships during workshops and shared cultural activities.

Overview
This was an opportunity for students from GCD schools to come together to engage in intercultural exchange & storytelling and develop plans for future collective impact.
How can we cultivate inclusive communities through meaningful connections and shared experiences?

  • Explored the historic streets of Nanjing and uncovered hidden stories.
  • Participated in workshops that promote self-awareness and personal growth.
  • Reflected on experiences to celebrate individual stories and journeys.
  • Identified and explored passions to empower ethical and responsible action as global citizens.​
